High-Level Delegation Visit from Ministry of Education

We were pleased to host a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Education, led by the Director General of the Directorate of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Mr. Mohamed Hassan Mukhtaar, accompanied by the Director of the Adult Education Department, Mr. Mohamed Abdullahi Abdirahman, the Ministry's advisor Eng. Abdirakadir, and several officials from the Directorate of Technical and Vocational Education and Training.

The delegation toured the various laboratories of the University as well as the Jamhuriya Incubation Center (JIC), and held a productive meeting with the University administration, particularly the Faculty of Engineering. During the meeting, both sides agreed to establish cooperation aimed at enhancing training and skills development for the new generation of Somalis, to better prepare them for the labor market and the advancement of technology.

Build Your Engineering Future Program

The Faculty of Engineering at Jamhuriya University organized the "Build Your Engineering Future" program, designed for Grade 12 high school students, to enhance their understanding of Physics through practical exercises based on the national curriculum lessons.

The students also had the opportunity to visit various laboratories in the faculty and explore projects that current students have developed or are working on. This program is part of Jamhuriya University's ongoing effort to provide Somali students with meaningful educational experiences, allowing them to see the connection between their school education and potential future careers.
